so you want to be a camp fire leader?

well, our year is almost up and let's just say it has been one hell of a ride! not sure how my moms (and dads) perceive my role in our group, how they think i have "coped" with all the meetings and activities...the responsibilities and extra "work" i do...let's just say that my decision to become the leader of this bluebird group has been the single best decision i have made in my adult life (next to having kids) and i have LOVED every minute of it!

i can't recommend enough how volunteering in your life can benefit you in ways you never thought possible...it's like that old saying "giving is better than receiving" at which you said, yah yah whatever! well, i am here to say it is true. the more you give, the more you volunteer, the more doors of amazing opportunity open up to you like magic, like pure harry potter magic and so i leave you with this message, the next time you think you can't do one more thing, your plate is full, your cup runs over, you are spent and wasted beyond belief...say yes to whatever is asked of you... donate and give freely, you will be rewarded! i promise!

the girl who started it all...ms. emi

  1. Wow ,and I thought it was all you!! Thanks Emi for getting your mom to the cafeteria last sept!! That was a pivital time for all of us. Leslie you have really inspired myself and my daughter. Everytime we leave camp fire I always ask her if she had fun and the response is always the same, Yes, Yes, Yes, except for the last meeting. Izzy said she had fun but it was not long enough and she wanted more!!! How great is that?!!! Leave your kid always craving more good fun.
    See ya at Camp Shiwaka!!!!!!
    Love ya,
    Kathleen
