it's hard to explain how last weekend felt up at the cabin, restless? anxious? tired and weepy? we didn't do a lot of talking, more looking and taking in the feel of the mountains. there is a lot of activity going on, cleaning up and neighbors going out of their way to wave, smile and say hello. the girls just scrambled up to their play area full of toys and books, i wanted them to really understand how lucky we are, not sure if it really sunk in. we spent more time than usual playing board games, more walking and picture taking. overall green valley lake looks amazing, i really can't believe how many homes were saved especially after watching videos of the fire up close. those fire fighters were superheroes in my book.
