Big Island

our room, royal kona

traveling with kids has its ups and downs, we had a lot of downs the first couple days but we are learning together. kids have a way of making friends everywhere they go, at the pool they made a friend who was leaving the next day. the girls told her to meet them back in hawaii another time. funny.

we wont have much internet access this trip (too cheap to buy it every day) so there will be a lot more hawaii to share when we get back next week. we love the royal kona, it is a midcentury modern hotel with amazing style. you can see it from miles away as it sits way out on the rocks. we got a great rate since they are remodeling sections of it and a big thanks to jen (felt mouse) who told us about it. we met up with her and her husband, spent two days hanging out. they were great sports hanging with the kids, who did a pretty good job of keeping it together. they left us all their beach stuff so today will be an all beach day, thanks jen! we can swap pictures next week.
