well we are embracing this years biggest event: a carnival birthday party for emily's 8th birthday. this has taken weeks of organizing and lots of planning, we will be putting up a "practice" carnival tomorrow... mock carnival i guess you could call it. somehow this has become quite a production.

our neighbor lauren is always a ready victim, i mean participant. stay tuned for more progress on this event and then the finale next weekend. we could have as much as 50 people here, yikes!
on another note: our neighborhood is so cool, there was a snow day at the park down the street
fenced in snow is probably pretty hilarious for people who actually live in the snow. its a big deal for us southern californians!

73 yesterday. Worked in the yard and played at the park. Woke up to snow this morning. Go figure!!
