emily and i made this for my friend maryann when she was going through some hard times. we collaged a shoebox and decorated it with some of her favorite things (she loves rhinos). we made a card and then packaged the whole thing up and mailed it. this was such a fun thing to do and she really seemed to like it.
i closely followed the kim family story and auction (even though i sometimes feel like such a poser in the craft world) i found a blog asking for donated items for another person in need. for the first time in my life i just said, "YES!" not knowing if what i have to offer would be enough. but you know what? it feels good to just say yes, and my donated item was well received.
i really hope everyone checks this out and can either donate an item to sell or make a bid on an item for this family who lost so much.
