thank goodness for friends. a close friend of mine, known since first grade and yes, she was a bluebird with me in my campfire group....is coming over tonight. she lives in colorado, but visits several times a year, her parents still live around the block from mine. it will be awesome to catch up on the months since her last visit (lots going on for sure) but an added bonus is that she is a graphic artist and web designer! yippee! finally someone who can help me with the photoshop and my blog banner. so, hopefully a more creative banner is in the wings.

the fabric on these pillows was a thrift find, i still have a huge roll of it left (there are litte birds among the leaves).

found at the bottom of the toy chest, my original robot made for christmas last year. the wool sorta fell apart but i still like it. i have probably made 10 different robots, all rejects. what a challenge!

new years day pizza party!
i make homemade pizza from scratch for my uncle and grandpa every time my uncle comes out for a visit. this new years day we decided to have friends over for a practice run (my uncle should be here in a couple days)...and boy did we have fun! the girls each made their own pizza and us moms drank wine and played the new wii...the stepboys are back with their mom so we had it to ourselves. stuffed and happy, ready for bed at 8pm. not ready to go back to work tomorrow, it's been a nice holiday.
